WHO WE ARE...
At Slippers & Taps School of Dance our primary vision is to transform dancers into artists. Our studio environment is filled with creativity and high energy where dancers can explore and create. We provide dance classes for beginning dancers to advanced dancers, with our passionate teachers helping you or your child build self-confidence and self-discipline. Beginning with our youngest students, we inspire our dancers to pursue their dreams and cultivate an environment in which they can achieve the goals they have set for themselves. From the precise placement of each fingertip to the genuine emotion portrayed on their faces, our faculty strongly encourages students to proudly own their craft and allow their love for their art to flourish.
Regan Eakin is beginning her 7th season with us on faculty after dancing and training with us herself for multiple years. Miss Regan went on to The University of South Alabama where she was a member of the "Prowlers" Dance Team on campus. She has gained experience over the years by teaching a wide variety of classes. We are blessed to have Miss Regan on staff this season!
Karmen Smith has been with us full-time on faculty since 2011 when she graduated from the University of Alabama with a BA in Dance. She continues to give our dancers the high quality of training that has become expected from our studio. Miss Karmen focuses highly on focus and discipline in her classes while also having a balance of fun and creativity. She also serves as the Company Director for Driven Dance Company. We are blessed to have had her grow with us all of these years.
Ethan Mayo is beginning his 6th season with us at Slippers & Taps/Driven Dance Co. His high energy classes bring all the positive vibes and inspire students to have fun and work hard. Mr. Ethan resided in New York City for 5 years, where he was a faculty member at the popular "Broadway Dance Center". His knowledge and experience enhance our studio and dancers greatly.
